1. Information We Do and Do Not Collect

We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users. WStatusSaver does not collect your personal information (such as name, email, phone number, etc.), send it to our servers, or share it with third parties.

The app only accesses certain data locally on your device to perform its core functions:

  • WhatsApp Statuses: The app accesses the relevant folder on your device storage to view and save WhatsApp statuses (photos and videos). This data is never uploaded anywhere; it is displayed only within the app and can be saved to your device at your request.
  • Notification Content: For the “Read Deleted Messages” feature, the app reads notifications from WhatsApp. The text in these notifications is stored locally on your device so you can view messages even if they are deleted. This information is never transmitted to any server.

All data is stored and managed exclusively on your device.

2. Required Permissions and Their Purposes

To function properly, WStatusSaver requires the following permissions:

  • Storage Access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Required to read the WhatsApp status folder and move selected status files (photos and videos) to your device’s gallery.
  • Notification Access: Required to read message notifications from WhatsApp and create a message history that allows you to view messages even if they are later deleted.

Without these permissions, the main features of the app will not work.

3. Third-Party Services – Google AdMob

We provide the app for free by displaying advertisements. For this purpose, we use Google’s advertising service, AdMob.

  • AdMob may collect certain non-personal information (such as advertising ID, IP address, device type, and operating system information) to provide more relevant ads.
  • The collection and use of this data are governed entirely by Google’s privacy policy. We do not have direct access to this information.

4. Data Security

All statuses and messages stored by the app remain directly on your device’s storage. The security of this data depends on the general security of your device. Since we do not store any data on our servers, there is no risk of data leakage from us. You can delete this data anytime from within the app or your device storage.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13.

6. Changes to the Privacy Policy
